Door Panels and Interior
This has been the month to install the interior and finally make the door panels. The center bar to mount the door release assembly has been in place for months. The rest of the door has just a big opening as all of the original inner door skin was cut away by the prior owners. I took a set of the metal door panel tops and covered them with vinyl matching the dash pads that has been sitting in the garage for several years. The bead used to create a transition to the PVC panels is actually a length or Romex installed under the vinyl when it was glued down. This was my first attempt at any kind of upholstery work, I've always farmed it out on my street rods. The bulk of the door panels was left plain black of the plastic with exposed fateners to keep with the race car style.

The Kirkey race seats with their gray velour covers were reinstalled. I'm glad I got something other than black when I picked them out long ago as the interior really needs something to lighten it up with all the black carbon.

The rear panels were all fastened in and the rubber seals installed between the fixed fender panels and the removable center cover.
